We all know that if you are building muscle, it is necessary to get a certain amount of grams of protein daily, especially on your workout days. If you’re living a vegan lifestyle, it can be difficult to build muscle without any meat or dairy products. This is why it’s important to supplement your nutrition by adding vegan protein powders to increase your protein intake.

There are many pro product. First, RAW Organic Protein powder tastes okay mixed with some almond milk and spinach. I also noticed that after consuming the protein, it keeps me fuller longer than other vegan protein powders. Take that with what you will, but your milage may vary.
Another feature of this protein powder that I liked is the fact that 1 scoop of protein is 17g of protein and 7g of fiber. This makes it so easy to mix as most of the time I only need to mix in 1 scoop of protein. Remember, that protein powder is a supplement and should be treated as such. Most of your protein should come from real food, so having a high amount of protein for 1 scoop with only plant-based ingredients is extremely good when you want to supplement your nutritional macros.
After consuming, this protein is easy to digest. If you’re having trouble ingesting this because the taste can sometimes get in the way, you can mix it with a banana, blueberries, and some almond milk to make it a little bit more palatable. Although the taste can be pretty bland, remember that as a plant-based, raw, and vegan-friendly protein, we are not drinking this for the taste but rather the nutritional benefits that it provides.
With every product, there are always cons when you’re comparing to similar products. The biggest thing that I noticed is the fact that the taste was almost unbearing. When mixing with water, it was hard for me to bring it down unless it mixed it with some fruits with some strong flavors. Even then, I could taste it.
Although I did not experience this, some people have mentioned that the product will come less than what was advertised; almost as much as 7 scoops less. This is unacceptable and should be taken into consideration when you’re thinking of purchasing this product. Again, I did not experience this issue at all.
Another issue is that the texture is very gritty and will almost guarantee that you have chunks when you mix it with just water. I don’t know if you’ve ever had protein with chunks in it, but it is NASTY. Add that to the fact that the unflavored version is disgusting, you have a recipe for trouble. However, this is all if you’re mixing it with water only. Make sure to mix it into some kind of smoothie for best taste.

The first thing that I’m going to analyze is the taste. The good thing, is that this powder doesn’t have any stevia. This can be a double-edged sword because on one hand, you don’t have that heavy stevia taste that so many vegan-based proteins have. On the other hand, you have that bland, chalky taste that stevia-free protein powders have.
Although it does have a bland taste, you can spice it up by adding some fruits with strong flavors such as bananas or blueberries. This doesn’t mean that the taste will be completely gone, but it will mean that it is better tasting and definitely palatable. You can also mix it with some frozen fruits and orange juice to get a much better tasting shake.
Most of these bland tasting issues come from the “Unflavored” version. To make your options a little better, you can get the “Vanilla” and “Chocolate” versions.
Mix-ability and Consistency
The 2nd feature that I’m going to analyze is the Mix-ability and consistency. Unfortunately, this product mixes horribly when it comes to mixing with just water and shaking it up. The problem is mostly with it’s gritty texture, which means that when you start mixing it, it will leave chunks in the end product. You can, however, get around this by adding the powder to your favorite fruit medley and blending it up. Otherwise, be prepared to have some chunks in your shaker.
The last feature that I’m going to analyze is the perceived value that you get from this product. As I mentioned before, you should be getting all of protein in your real foods and only use the protein powder as a supplement. However, there are times when you need to get a little bit more protein from your protein supplement. That’s where the RAW Organic Protein Powder comes in. The RAW Organic Protein Powder has 17g of protein and 7g of fiber in 1 scoop. For a plant-based protein, that is really good and where most of the value lies.
It also has a good price to quantity ratio. For the price, you do get a good amount of protein for a vegan-based product. Keep in mind though, that some customers have reported that you do not get the full amount that is advertised sometimes. I did not experience this issue and received the correct amount.
Things to Consider
- Although the taste is not good, you only have to put in 1 scoop to get a whopping 17g of protein and 7g of fiber.
- Although this didn’t happen to me, some report that they received less of the product than advertised as much as 7 scoops less.

Positive Customer Review
One customer expressed that they liked the product for the ingredients and its nutritional value. Emphasizing that they don’t buy raw organic protein for the taste, but rather the health benefits that it provides. Recommends juicing kale, carrots, and an apple, then adding a scoop of the Raw Organic Protein for a superfood that you can down. If the taste isn’t something that you can bear, you can add a banana with other fruits to make it better.
Negative Customer Review
One customer, who said they have been bodybuilding for the past 27 years said this is the worst protein they have ever tried. This customer also expressed that there are other protein powders that are far superior, have better biological value, and is much better tasting with better mixability out there.
Overall, I think this vegan-friendly protein powder is definitely something that you can pass. Personally, after tasting it, it is not something that I feel like I can bear in the morning. Although I do start my day off with a green shake with added protein, RAW Organic Protein is just not tolerable for me.
